Tattoo Aftercare

Leave the bandage on for at least one hour. You can leave it on longer if you like but not longer than 5 hours. Once the bandage is removed it does not need to be bandaged again. After taking off the bandage, gently wash your tattoo in circular motions with a gentle sudsy soap. Always pat a tattoo dry, never scrape it dry. Let your tattoo air dry for 30 to 60 min after then apply an ointment such as Aquaphor or A and D Ointment. Do not use a lotion, Vaseline, or anything with fragrance. Do this routine in the morning and before bed for 4 days after getting the tattoo.

After you have developed a nice top layer of scab, use your ointment when you feel the tattoo is dry, peeling, and itching. Thin layers are best. Showers are fine, just no baths or swimming for at least 2 weeks, but its best to wait until its fully healed. You do not want to submerge your new tattoo. No direct sunlight in that time as well. Expect your tattoo to be fully healed after 4 weeks. No shaving, petroleum jelly, Neosporin, or sun block on your new tattoo until it is fully healed. Do not pick at your tattoo while it is healing.

Back Massage
Massage Aftercare

After your massage treatment, your body and mind are in a relaxed state. To ensure you receive maximum benefits from your treatment, it is recommended that you read and follow the aftercare advice sheet: Drink plenty of water after your treatment. This helps with dehydration, lost fluids, reduces fatigue, as well as helps eliminate toxins from your body. Avoid drinking alcohol or caffeine containing beverage for 12 hours, as they have dehydrating properties. Avoid strenuous activity for the next 12 hours, to help your body relax and de-stress further. Take time to do simple breathing exercise, for example the 4-7-8 breathing technique. When sitting in front of a computer for longer than 20 minutes, stand up to stretch and gently warm up your joints. Fetch yourself a glass of water. Massage treatments work best, when performed on a regular basis. Make sure to book your next session promptly- (www.thinkbalance.ch)

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Many have reported miraculous results. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class.

This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life. Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it- (Reiki.org)
